My unit has the rarer side hanging "mother-in-law" or "bull ring" second receiver hanging opposite of the crank of this 1910 model. This receiver could be used to cover both ears during long distance calls of low volume or as a receiver to be used by a second person listening in on a call. The AC140 model differs from traditional Skeletals in that the six connection terminals are exposed and located on the back edge of the ebonite deck rather than under the deck and accessed through a side opening.

Micro-telephone RE 2002 resting on cradle switch, with cord RS 7021, flexible cable RS 9610, which is connected to the terminals fitted on the back edge of the ebonite base and also to a rosette terminal block with disc protector.

GENERATOR. 2-magnet, which rings satisfactorily through a line resistance of 12,000-15,000 ohms. The magnets of this generator also form the legs of the telephone. The generator is fitted with a "cut-out" with a spiral spring, which is effected through the longitudinal movement of the spindle.

RINGER. Resistance of coils 1,000 ohms.

Overall dimensions 12.0 x 7.9 x 5.5 inches.  Weight, 11.7 lbs.
