AC300 Magneto phone

Enamelled steel magneto desk telephone

3 Magnet generator desk telephone with Base & top plate are made of ebonised pear-tree wood. Made by Ericsson for the Københavns Telefonaktieselskabs (Copenhagen Telephone Company Ltd. - KTAS) as a replacement for the skeletal  model telephone. This AC300 was a special version for use by KTAS in that it utilized the red ringer cut-out button on the corner of the ebonite deck as well as a redesigned wall terminal with lightning protection that was covered with a shield for added protection. Holding the red button down while cranking would eliminate bell ringing on the telephone while signaling down the line. Sometimes also called a pillar phone due to nickeled pillars on the corners supporting top.
