Ericsson Mfg Co  is  stamped in Ebonite shaft cover and handset

shaft on both telephones are covered in ebonite
Ericsson on left (painted base)    *    Federal on right  (nickel base)

slightly more rounded base on Ericsson with pronounced brass ring around shaft

Ericsson manufactured this model for Federal Telephone & Telegraph of Buffalo as well.
